Today, the Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent" hosted a meeting with representatives of Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon), one of the world's leading financial institutions.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of Uzbekistan’s capital market, the enhancement of infrastructure for international investors, as well as matters related to arbitrage operations involving the securities of JSC "National Investment Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (UzNIF).

The participants highly commended the successful execution of the UzNIF IPO within a remarkably short period of time. It was noted that, in international practice, the preparation and implementation of large-scale IPO transactions often take several years. In Uzbekistan, however, thanks to the effective cooperation of government authorities, relevant ministries and agencies, and market participants, the project was completed efficiently and successfully within a compressed timeframe.

In addition, BNY Mellon representatives expressed their readiness to participate as a custodian bank in upcoming IPO transactions in Uzbekistan.

The meeting once again underscored the growing recognition of Uzbekistan’s capital market by leading international financial institutions and highlighted the increasing attractiveness of the country’s investment environment.
