The Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent,” in cooperation with Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), discussed a draft internship program aimed at preparing highly qualified specialists for the capital market.

The meeting was attended by the university’s management, representatives of the Central Securities Depository, and brokerage firms. Participants exchanged views on the substance of the initiative and the mechanisms for its implementation.

As part of the project, students will have the opportunity to complete a six-month internship in stages with key participants of the capital market, which will enable them to:

 - gain in-depth understanding of the practical processes of the securities market;

 - acquire essential professional skills and hands-on experience;

 - develop as competitive specialists in the labor market.

In addition, it is envisaged that students who complete the program will share their knowledge and experience with other students, contributing to the dissemination of expertise within the field.

Despite the availability of finance and economics programs in higher education institutions, a well-established system for training specialists specifically in the capital market and securities sector remains underdeveloped. This internship program is expected to fill this gap and make a significant contribution to the sustainable and consistent development of the country’s capital market.

The Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent” considers the implementation of this initiative as one of its priority areas, aimed at building a strong pool of professional talent in the industry.
