On October 19, 2026, Samarkand hosted high-level business sessions of the U.S.–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council within the framework of the C5+1 format, bringing together the countries of Central Asia and the United States.
The event focused on expanding investment cooperation, introducing advanced technologies, and developing joint projects. The program also featured thematic sessions covering priority sectors of the economy, as well as B2B and B2G meetings.
On the sidelines of the event, representatives of the National Agency for Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP) and the Head of the Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent” held a meeting with representatives of Nasdaq.
The discussions focused on the technological modernization project covering the trading, clearing, brokerage, and market surveillance systems of the RSE “Toshkent”. In particular, the parties reviewed the progress of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process initiated by the Exchange and explored the capabilities of modern technological solutions.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was Nasdaq's proposal to arrange an on-site visit to study the experience of the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The proposed visit would provide an opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the operation of trading, clearing, brokerage, depository, and market surveillance systems, their integration, and the technological solutions currently used in practice.
The meeting is expected to contribute to the ongoing selection of modern technological solutions under the Exchange's Request for Proposal (RFP) process, aimed at upgrading its technological infrastructure.
